EN : New technologies boast of being able to increase our reality, improve our perception of the world, they allow us an hyper connection so that no information escapes us … to the detriment of the present moment, of our connection to the things around us and even from our own imagination. For the « augmented unrealities » project, we hijacked VR headsets in order to offer a lowtech version. The installation allows us to look towards invisible worlds, to travel, without losing our mind.
FR : Les nouvelles technologies se vantent de pouvoir augmenter notre réalité, d’améliorer notre perception du monde, de nous permettre l’hyper connexion afin qu’aucune information ne nous échappe… au détriment du moment présent, de notre connexion aux choses qui nous entourent et même de notre propre imagination. Pour le projet « irréalités augmentées » nous avons détourné des casques de VR afin d’en proposer une version lowtech. L’installation nous permet de regarder vers des mondes invisibles, d’y voyager, sans pour autans y perdre la tête.
