Monumental sculpture
EN : Installed in the valley of Crévoux (France), the work seems to be a vestige of a golden age. Ruines invites us to contemplate this installation in the manner of rock paintings. It seems to have disintegrated with the erosion of time. Only a few facets of the face of a giant appear today buried under the mountain. As a sort of humanization of the landscape, the work plunges us into our dreams. Are they paleolithic memories or a vision of the future?
FR : Livrée à la vallée de Crévoux dans les Hautes-Alpes (France), l’œuvre semble être un vestige d’une époque révolue. Ruines nous invite à contempler cette installation à la manière des peintures rupestres désagrégées par l’érosion du temps. Seules subsistent quelques facettes du visage d’un géant semblant aujourd’hui enseveli sous la montagne. Comme une sorte d’humanisation du paysage, l’œuvre nous plonge dans un songe. S’agit-il de souvenirs paléolithiques ou d’une vision du futur?
